由駐馬來西亞臺北經濟文化辦事處教育組主辦，砂拉越詩巫公教中學協辦之「2024年馬來西亞砂拉越華語文能力測驗」（簡稱華測），於2024年5月18日（星期六）上午10時假詩巫公教中學順利舉行!
華測是作為臺灣大學院校招收外籍學生之入學或畢業門檻、僑外生留臺工作評點積分及外國人赴臺灣求職時所需之華語能力證明，更重要的是，華測也是臺灣獎學金之標準申請文件，通過華測者將獲得臺灣教育部頒發之及格證書，華測施測內容為聽力和閱讀二種，以單選題方式進行，考試時間為2小時，考生可選擇正體或簡體兩種版本應考。
教育組張佳琳組長表示，全球掀起「華語熱」，歡迎馬來西亞各級學校與辦事處教育組合作辦理華語文能力測驗以及善用臺灣各類華語文教學資源，也鼓勵各界共同投入華語教學國際化與專業化行列!華測是國際通用的標準化測驗，對應歐洲共同語文參考架構(CEFR)及美國外語教學協會指標（ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines），與國際語言標準接軌，適用對象相當廣泛，「一證在手，受用無窮」，歡迎各界人士報考。
詩巫公教中學鄭文牘校長鼓勵校內或目前於國際學校、語言中心研習華語的學員或教師踴躍報考，藉以測試自身華語能力水平，並檢核華語學習成果。砂拉越留臺同學會總會蕭特財總會長則表示，華測與華教的推展一樣都是為中華文化而努力，華測的價值除了在瞭解及專業鑑定華語能力，更有助推廣中華文化及提升華語文學習風氣。

The 2024 Test of Chinese as Foreign Language (TOCFL) was held at Catholic High School Sibu, Sarawak on May 18, 2024(Saturday) successfully.
The TOCFL certificate can serve as proof of Chinese proficiency for applying for a Taiwan Scholarship and obtaining bonus points under the new appraisal system for Overseas Chinese and international students who want to remain in Taiwan to work.
There are three bands for the TOCFL Listening & Reading test, which are Band A, Band B, and Band C, and both simplified and traditional Mandarin test papers available for each band. Candidates who pass the test will receive a certificate from the Ministry of Education, Taiwan which can be used as a reference document for the Chinese Language Proficiency Level for university applications or job hunting.
Charlin Chang, the Education Director of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Malaysia mentioned that the TOCFL acts as a useful and standardized assessment tool for Mandarin proficiency levels which is in corresponds with CEFR (The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) Proficiency Guidelines.
Bro. Anthony Tay Woon Dwu, Principal of Catholic High School encourages students or teachers in the school and Mandarin learners in private schools or language centers to sit TOCFL to assess their Mandarin proficiency level.
Mr. Siew Tick Chai, the President of the Sarawak Taiwan Graduates' Association said that the value of TOCFL is not only a professional language proficiency assessment but also to promote Chinese culture and Mandarin learning.
